Since September 2009, Online Dialogue fills the renewed monthly conversion section in Emerce magazine: the magazine about “the next step in E-business”. I have been making a monthly conversion article for Emerce based on the Expert Review I developed for the online channel. I took a main topic from the review that was conducted on 3 competing companies in a certain niche and this main topic was then evaluated on 3 sub-topics. What I found to be a major drawback to this format is that there is always room for improvement. Consequently, the comments on the 3 competitors examined was almost always negative. They did name what should be done differently, but no visual examples were given.
With the launch of Online Dialogue, the column has been revamped and taken a much more pragmatic and positive approach. Based on a theme, I provide examples of companies that, conversion related, stand out in their design and interaction of communication through the digital channel. In each section, a number of examples are visually represented along with a brief explanation. In September, the theme was “forms” and in October “the error page.” In this online article the scans of both articles from Emerce magazine.
