When nudging backfires - we're off and running!

Good news! It's official: Online Dialogue and the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam are starting a joint research project on the long-term effect of nudging.

As previously described we have been in the process of establishing a deep and unique research project for some time. In collaboration with Assistant Professor Kobe Millet, I will begin work on a conceptual model of behavior that is (a) substantiated by scientific literature; (b) inspired by recent academic insights; and (c) collaborates with academics who teach and conduct research in the field of behavioral decision making is shaped.

This week is the official launch and we will start talking to businesses. There is room for up to 4 participating companies/organizations.

What do we offer the organizations that can participate:

  • Four years of research into your behavioral issue from a unique partnership. Online Dialogue partners with academics who publish in top international journals to gain deeper insights into your consumers' behavior.
  • Behavioral experiments in a controlled setting: lab studies.
  • Behavioral experiments in a controlled setting: AB testing.
  • Scientifically based framework for in-house testing/validation program.

In addition:

  • Possibility of inclusion in scientific publications.
  • Access to a advisory board in which several major companies and government agencies have already confirmed their participation. Among others Dan Ariely Will be at the first meeting.

There are already a number of candidates and unfortunately we are allowed to include a maximum of one company per sector in the collaboration. There is a financial commitment of two years (+2 years of free research).
