Will AI make us smarter or dumber? The insights of Klöpping, Scherder and Online Dialogue
Reflection on Klöpping × Scherder by Simon Buil (Data Analyst at Online Dialogue)
On the early morning (yes really, it was 04:00 according to my watch) almost all OD colleagues gathered at Schiphol Airport. All ready for the trip to... Slovenia! With sleep still in our eyes, we got through security in plenty of time and the adventure could begin. Off to the lake of Bled! For those who haven't visited Slovenia yet, we highly recommend it. In this blog I give you a short recap of the weekend, so you can enjoy it too.

Lake Bled, Slovenia
The organizing duo this year consisted of Florien and Pim. The team was divided into groups of 3 and 4, who would stay in a tree house or in a room with a jacuzzi. Yes, you read it correctly. This accommodation is really awesome!

What would you choose: sleeping in a treehouse or apartment with a jacuzzi?
But an OD outing is only really complete when at least someone gets wet, dirty or sweaty. So we went for a bike ride on E-MTBs through the mountains and forests around Lake Bled. Very exciting, but what a fantastic experience. Cycling through the muddy mountains at 40km/h is quite a different experience from the Dutch bike paths (although the intersection near our office in Utrecht is sometimes just as dangerous). In any case, it resulted in many laugh lines and peak heart rate moments.

E-MTB
That same day we were able to wash off the mud nicely while canyoning in the wild waters around Bled. For those who don't know what that is: canyoning is a kind of whitewater rafting without a boat, abseiling and obstacle course in 1. Unfortunately, the water was really too dangerous for the real thing, so for a while we became one with our inner otter and lay peacefully floating in the current of the river. It was hilarious and terrifying at the same time, because apparently with an A-level swimming certificate you don't get out so easily. I must confess that every time I was floating in the water, I called the instructor for help to fish me out again. Fortunately, there were some good swimmers on the OD team who even dared to jump off the bridge! Woohoo!

Canyoning
And to make the day complete, we ended with a wine tasting. Full of local dishes and delicious wines. Totally away from it all. Thanks to Florien and Pim for organizing and of course our clients for making the trip possible.
Would you like to join us on the trip next year? Then come work with us! We still have vacancies for a Web analyst, a Customer Journey Analyst, a Conversion Manager and a Sales Consultant. Send us your resume and who knows, maybe next year you too will be standing in the mountains with sweat on your back!
