Last Thursday, Sept. 27, Arend presented “Big Data: not the goal, perhaps the destination” at the Big Data event at Nyenrode.

Now that Big Data seems to be the new magic word, suddenly everyone has to get into Big Data, while many people still don't even understand what Big Data means. Arend believes that ‘doing Big Data’ should not be your goal at all. It depends entirely on your situation what you can do with your analytics, and maybe then Big Data is ultimately the destination.
